There are a lot of ways to save some money and draw out the life of your laser toner cartridge. With the cost of cartridges at the level that they are at, it is really important to save all of the money that you can when you can. By using some of these tips, you can draw out the life of your cartridges and get the highest number of printed pages per cartridge possible.

1 – Save your laser toner cartridge by printing everything in black and white. The black and white cartridges cost less than the color ones, and should therefore be used as little as possible. You can go into your printer setting and change them so that every page that prints comes out in black and white. For most offices, the prints are usually used in black and white, with fewer color prints. You can always switch to color if your document needs to be in color, but you can save a lot of color toner if you just print everything in black and white.

2 – Use less of your laser toner cartridge when you print in draft mode. Go into the settings and change so that you are printing in the lowest quality possible. Many times in the office, we are just printing for internal use. Setting your printer so that you are just printing at low quality. You will save a lot of ink, and the minor hassle of changing to a higher quality when you need to print something for clients will seem like a small price to pay.

3 – Buy in bulk. Getting those cartridges that you need at one time will not only save money, but you never have to worry about running out of toner at the 11th hour. It’s a great way to save money. Stock up particularly on black toner cartridges, as you will use those more (especially if you use tip 1 & 2!).
